It is a true honor to be recognized as the 2022-2023 Preceptor of the Year by the Rowan-Virtua SOM medical students. Serving as a preceptor for their Family Medicine clinical clerkship is something I have always enjoyed. It gives me an opportunity to provide support and guidance as each student strives to further develop their clinical skills and medical decision making abilities. I always hope toprovide each student with the necessary confidence as they transition from medical student to interns and resident physicians. Taking what they have learned in the office during rotation, incorporating it into their approach to patient care and then making it their own is priceless. When we graduate from medical school, we all take an oath. In that oath, we promise to pass our knowledge and our art of medicine to those that come after. I hope that one day, my students will do the same for their students. I am grateful for this recognition and intend to continue to assist our medical student in achieving their goals for the future.
