Three PHA Doctors Receive Awards For Their Service

Three prominent Premier Health Associates physicians received awards this month for their service to the medical community. 

Dr. Kozak, the new president of Premier Health Associates, received the John Lucas, MD Award For Emerging Physician Leaders at the Newton Medical Center’s annual staff meeting. 

“It is an honor to be recognized by my peers as an emerging leader in Sussex County,” says Dr. Kozak. “I will continue to work with my colleagues in the medical profession to ensure the best possible medical care for the patients of the community that collectively we serve.”

Dr. Bollard took home two awards. The first award Dr. Bollard received was from Newton Medical Center for 30 years of service to the citizens of Sussex County. 

Of achieving such an honor, Dr. Bollard says, “30 years in medicine has been an honor and a privilege, and I hope to continue working in some capacity, whether as a teacher or in the office seeing patients, as long as my mind allows.”

The second was given at the Rowan School of Medicine annual staff meeting. Dr. Bollard received the Award for Outstanding Teaching for the year 2019 from the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Dr. Vergara was recognized by Newton Medical Center for 25 years of service to the citizens of Sussex County.
