Premier Health Associates has adopted the practice of telemedicine in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. One of the most effective ways to stop the spread of COVID-19 is social distancing, and Premier Health Associates is maintaining and encouraging social distancing by practicing medicine, refilling prescriptions, and managing illness via virtual visits. Telemedicine allows people to get the medical attention they need, at a safe social and physical distance.
The way Premier Health Associates has been utilizing telemedicine is through virtual visits. A receptionist or nursing staff will assist you to get on a virtual visit via your computer or iPhone/Android. If you don’t have the technology to do a virtual visit, nursing staff or receptionist will coordinate a telephone appointment. Your physician will talk to you, ask about your history, review any labs, medication, symptoms, order any appropriate tests, and order refills of your prescription medications, just like an ordinary visit.
