At PHA we strive to give our very best to the community and our patients. Access to care is important, and we understand participation with your insurance plan is key to convenient and timely medical care. In addition, our participation minimizes your out of pocket expenses, and we appreciate how important this is to you. Premier Health has continued to contract with most companies in spite of the ongoing operational complications and expenses, as well as reduction in reimbursement. Although we have been working on a contract renewal for several months now, at this time we need to report Premier Health Associates will no longer be participating providers of CIGNA as of October 1, 2021.
You can be assured, Premier Health will continue good faith discussions as we have for a number of months now. It is our goal to create a mutually beneficial relationship with CIGNA, but if we cannot come to an agreement you will have several choices. PHA providers will continue to accept your insurance as out of network providers. You may also consider changing to another plan in which we participate including Aetna, Horizon, United Healthcare, Oxford, Medicare and Tricare, to name several. Although we are honored to care for you and your family, we understand if you chose to change your providers and will make every effort to make the transition as seamless as possible.
You are encouraged to contact Cigna regarding the upcoming change. Communicate your concerns with them as you are Cigna’s customer.
